I tend to think you are right, at least until you bang one off a dock or a rock. Some of the up north originals were made with hard "blades", metal and such. My 90s are super inconsistent. Don't know if that is because they started making so many, so fast, but I have that idea. Like the counter rotating design on the BPS.

It makes a heck of a noise, and is as you would think it would sounds like a whopper plopper making double the plopping. It's runs really straight due to the counter rotating blades. Reel them in really fast they sound like a small motorboat in the water. Heavy as all get out though and you really have to lob it to get it out there. When they get the split rings fixed on the smaller version I think those are going to be the ticket. Hughesy Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 They were having trouble with the smaller version with the blades breaking off because they were glued on. They are going to have the blades molded as one piece now. Plus the split rings were too large causing the lure to set to low in the water. dtrs5kprs and Quillback 2

Members CBOWEN Posted June 25, 2017 Members Posted June 25, 2017 I used a couple of these down at Grand a while back and the blades broke on both of them. Are they for sure going to mold the blades in or continue to glue them on? I was using the large ones. They do catch fish until they break though. Another bait we used at Grand was the Grass Burner. It worked awesome too. They are $25 , but the fish really seemed to like it. Sore Thumbs 1
