could not take it any longer.  the moon out and big was too much.  left linda at home and went fishing.  fished until 2:30am, and the catching was pretty darn good.  had way more than a dozen keeps.  4 were in the 3 lb. class, but nothing bigger.  caught as many or more shorts.  a 1/2 GrassJig was the main weapon, but caught several on a 1/2 CrazyBlitz.  bites were from 8 ft. to 20.  most in the 12 to 15 ft. range.  they were in groups and all on the same type of terrain.

it did not appear to me that any of these bass had spawned.  all were fat and slick with no signs of war.  lots of big stuff floating out in the lake.

Bo, now that the fish know you can get out at night I hope they don't go into stealth mode. Sounds like Linda is coming along with recovery. Good luck.

Still catching fish around Kimberling with eggs, and/or bedding. Good number mixed in that have clearly been on beds, but not all by any stretch.

one of the 3 lbers. was a brownie, and it was as fat as a tick.  was showing the same water temps you mentioned.

Take a 1/2 oz or 3/8oz War Eagle black Spinnerbait with single Colorado blade too. They have been biting those at Beaver the last couple weeks. Fun bite.

Do you like the War Eagle night baits better than the Jewel Jolt?  That thing really thumps.

Never used the Jewel one. I'm sure it's just as good. I know the owner of War Eagle and try to support him as much as possible. They make quality products, he is a great guy and his business is local.

you need to try a NuTech Black Widow SpinJig.  i do not believe there is anything in the industry with the thump that comes off them, and it is because of the design of the wire frame and having a loose head.
