Hydro 205 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Has anyone tried this hull cleaner. Â I need something to take the water stain off my boat while it's in the water on a lift. Â
nomolites Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I just use 50/50 white vinegar and water, spray on and wipe off with a cotton cloth(old t-shirt rag usually) and it works great. Â It will remove the brown funk and hard water spots. Â Getting under the bunks or above the tank are another story...let me know if you figure that out. Â Mike tho1mas 1
Dutch Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I don't do it on a lift but I clean my boat with CLR after I've been camped and in and out of the water for a couple of weeks.
Members Yakalong Posted June 7, 2017 Members Posted June 7, 2017 I also use a 50/50 vinegar/water, seems to work very well.
Ranger520vx Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 I just use straight vinegar on mine does good on the water scum.
Bushbeater Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 Try stale orange juice, I scrubbed my lower unit with vinegar for what seemed like hours, then my wife cleaned it with orange juice in a few minutes.
Ranger520vx Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 Never heard of that either have to give it a try.
fishinwrench Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I just tried it on a calcified gearcase housing and the calcium deposits laughed at me.  They quit laughing when I grabbed the muratic acid though. 😀 Disclaimer: It wasn't "stale OJ", it was fresh cold Minute Maid,  the other half of the bottle was delicious and I bet it tastes way better than toilet bowl cleaner. Daryk Campbell Sr, MOsmallies and Drbucketmouth57 3
