"In previous months, the Branson Tri-Lakes News addressed concerns from area business owners about the boat causing disruptions on the lake with wakes and high speeds.

Ruda said on April 5, “Any moving object in the water will produce some wake, even a swimming duck. This boat will also produce a wake when moving, but based on our research and boat selection, we believe the wake to be similar to vessels currently operating on the waterway.”

me thinks its gonna wizz off the fisherman...think of it as a 30 foot jetski...not like they cause issues <_<

Maybe they'll take it for a ride when all the floodgates are open the next time, lol.  This thing and fishermen don't mix well.  It looks like we lose again to $$$$$.  With that being said, it looks like a lot of fun.

In their latest announcement they say they will be taking passengers on a cruise down Taneycomo lake. Sounds like they may have listened to the many concerns, and complaints about upper Taneycomo.

Bet they got mufflers on it as well.

Looking forward to taking the 30 mph cruise. It will be interesting to go that slow in a jet boat. LOL

I would love to know how many horsepower the thing has...when pressed about wakes he was a bit disingenuous....Ill but a steak dinner in high water releases up to the dam they will go!......even if they stay down lake the big a boat doing a donut isn't happening at 30 mph.....why he picked Taney instead of TR tells me he's going up-lake sooner or later...me thinks gonna be a lot of people raining hell on this guy when he screws up someones nice fishing day......

Can anyone take part in the ride?

AT 30 MPH? LOL. Guess with my bad back, knees, and a few other abnormalities I better sell the Gator. Or will twice the speed bring on the life threatening consequences sooner? No problem for the past ten or so years I've had it. Including a couple "sudden stops" on the river when I ran out of water!

How do you turn 30 MPH into a "thrill" ride?

Tell prospective customers it's hazardous to their health.

Good job of promoting your area. You all will just lve this thing. Going to be worse than a wake boat in narrow Taneycomo. I see accidents, drownings and a awful lot of bank and dock damage. But thats OK. We are all in existance to support the rich and powerful.

There's a video on facebook that I can't embed here but it's of the boat going by Rockaway Beach and doing a spin.  Then it shows the wake coming in a hitting the docks.

It is always amazing to me to see all the ways different people see things, almost looking through various lenses.  Some said it was awful, some said it was nothing.

The splash of the "spin" did move a lot of water into the air and what appeared to be a good sized wake started but by the time it got to the docks, the boats hardly moved.  So if that's the best wake it can throw, and it was full of people, then this is a non issue.  UNLESS the pilot does it next to kayaks, canoes or other boats which if he does (and he won't if he values his job), you'll see it in the news probably.

The only way this boat is going to hurt anyone is if a Jihadist gets ahold of it and makes it a killing machine.  Oh wait... you can do that with any boat.

Seriously, you should see the wakes that hit our dock a dozen times a day.  All types of boats, all sizes of motors at all distances from the dock.  We're constantly vacuuming water out of our jon boats.  That's why I laugh when people talk about this boat throwing mammoth wakes like no one else throws wakes...

Notice something missing from that picture?  None of those people are wearing PFDs.  I hope that's just a picture and not actually what their policy is.  A person falling into the cold waters of Taney without a jacket on might not end well...
