He just needs to understand that the World Wont Revolve around him

Yes i Admit i can be a royal Arse

The partiers at Mutton have just as much right to enjoy their evening and yes fishermen have their rights to use the lake at any giving time as well but knowing full well that Thur-Sat Night they will be sharing the lake with more possibly (noisier) than normal people during the busy season then fisherman should plan accordingly to how and were they might decide to fish because more than likely the partiers at Mutton are going to be staged in that one area and not out and about.

I for one dont fish at night so this really isnt an issue for me.

Ramman, how do you feel about smoking in restaurants ?

I think it should be left up to the Business Owners, now if they offer smoking i i would suggest a separate area but again if they dont offer sections i would go Knowing that i would be in the Same area as the smokers so thats a decision i make.

With me being From SPringfield MO, no i do not agree with the city making it an Ordinace to be a smoke free city, thats taking the rights away from the Community but i also see the results that make it nice that realistically businesses didnt suffer as much as they thought either being smoke free

Right on.

I'm a smoker, but I don't go into a place where nobody else is smoking and light up.  I would consider it rude and inconsiderate, the same as pulling up on the banks of a calm quiet lake and blasting my stereo.   Sound carries over water like crazy. Some folks (I call them idiots) either don't realize that or don't care.

NOPE,

Im not saying ur wrong to enjoy the the peace and quiet on the Lake but No Wake Cafe has been open for several yrs

I rarely drink as well but if i knew of a group that was playing or was invited from friends to go to Mutton i would go to support both the group and the Bar for supporting the group they sale food and sodas so u dont just have to be drinking to have an enjoyable evening with friends and supporting the local economy while ur at it

Quick thought from this thread: there are far too many people on this careening ball of dirt, but even so, there are an awful lot of places you can go fish, camp, hunt, whatever, and see a minimal number of people. And generally not hear loud music or screaming drunk people. Those places tend not to include large corps of engineer lakes. Or rivers with a bunch of canoe rentals or a scenic river designation. Or, for the most part, state parks. You are left with three options, basically:

1. Deal with the crowds, enjoy yourself anyway, or, to go further in that direction, join in the festivities.

2. Get away from it all, go find a small stream or pond or a wilderness area, or whatever, walk a little bit, and get away from all the BS. I'm here to tell you, these places are all over the Ozarks. They are only a teensy bit of imagination and a short walk away. Variant on this: go to the popular places during weird days, times of the day, or seasons. Whatever works. This is the "Trout Park in the Winter" corollary.

3. Go to the crowded places and be miserable because they are crowded.

Some people are good with #1. I almost always prefer option #2. But if you are going with #3, and believe, me, I've been there, that is not what you'd call a road to happiness.

Eric lit up first.   Besides, that's what he gets for cooking us boiled bacon.  That ---- was nasty!
