Big Boats on Beaver Look Out!

 In the 2nd picture you can see the back of another boat. Both of those tow rigs were identical. My wife and i both commented that the families in both couldnt have been older than mid 30's.  Lots of money tied up in those setups

One of the main reasons I have not been on Beaver since 2015.  When I do, I hope to stick to the back of coves, or upriver from Beav-O-Rama.  It's scary out there for a 16 foot modified vee with a 25 HP motor.   Is that kayak (Yak) guy still around, and not been run over?

A boatload of money for sure.  And you have to wonder how many times a year they get out in them?  Probably less than 20 days I bet spent in those boats per year.  Throw in boat cost, hauler cost, fuel, oil, insurance, I bet it works out to a couple grand per outing, if not more.  Good way to burn through some cash.

If I won the lotto and had the money, I'd have one...... but I wouldn't  race it around beaver.  I'd be offshore in some exotic place fishing.   Just seems silly on beaver. But I'm just a guy without a fishing boat, so what do I know lol.

I will say that we ran all over the lake today and saw quite a few of these boats and had no issues.  They were respectful and nowhere near wide open.  I've had bass boats pass me going way faster and way closer and the wake from any wakeboard boat or some of the houseboats on the lake is much more dangerous.  

That said, I'm pretty sure I would be bored if I was driving one of those around Beaver.  Hey Posers, wait on buying the boat until you can afford the house in Miami that should go with it!

Same here. Everybody was friendly and waving. I think a lot of how a day on the lake goes has as much to do with our attitudes on the drive to the lake as it does with what anyone else does or says while we are there.

Lol, haven't been run over.......yet.  I haven't been able to get out as much the past 2 years for a variety of reasons, but that will change in the Fall.  I have a boat now so I pick my spots with the kayak and when I have had time to fish I have been fishing TR more than Beaver, for the same reason you listed.
