You're moving at about the same speed as the current.  I seriously doubt it makes any discernible difference in the fishing.

shufflers go after are feeding down current on the forge uncovered. .If you made your cast ditectly to the anchor area and let your lure come back to you I have to wonder. It would appear to me to be like the shuffelers effect. I certainly do not see anything wrong with it. It is just wpuld be another technique that would have to be mastered.
