Members Bassin' fool Posted August 12, 2017 Members Posted August 12, 2017 What's everyone's thoughts on this? Im assuming this is either a joke or somebody is just full of it. But I guess nothing's impossible..
Smithvillesteve Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Since the high water in April there are many fish species in places where you typically wouldnt find them. I heard that Meramec trout fishery flooded and all the trout escaped. A couple of buddies of mine were floating and throwing grubs for smallies and killed the trout!! Just my 2 cents.
Big Keene Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 we have caught rainbows on 3 different occasions in Table Rock. once trolling cranks and twice on nightcrawlers. was shocked each time. top_dollar 1 Illegitimi non carborundum (Never let the bastards grind you down)
MOPanfisher Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I wouldon't be surprised, except that i can't think of a place with trout that could escape into stockton? Maybe a private stocking from somewhere upstream. dan hufferd 1
Dutch Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 There have been trout in Table rock down by the dam for years. I know of no place that feeds to Stockton that has trout. I also have never seen a shoreline like that anywhere at Stockton. So I call BS. bassfisher 1

The shore line in the picture is 3 - 4 foot DOWN and Stockton has been 4 -13 foot HIGH for months..... "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
Unimog Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Doesn't look like any leaves on the trees in the background either.
bassfisher Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Looks like coffman cove and the water was that low this past winter. I would say anything is possible, he did say near Aldrich. Who knows ive never heard of it. Royal Blue 1
Members Ricochet15 Posted August 13, 2017 Members Posted August 13, 2017 I guess it's possible I've caught a couple trout out of Goose Creek years ago that feeds Turnback. Also 1 out of Turnback but it was quite a ways from the lake. But I suppose it could happen.
