I wish I had taken a picture of my fish I weighed in at Alhonna in the 11-1 time slot on Saturday. It weighed 4.73 and took 27th place. I won less than you, but the striking similarities in fish is astonishing. I am trying to look at this convoluted Big Bass Bash results page that scans back to the top of the page every 15 seconds and it looks like you weighed at Red Oak. The red scarring on the belly is like the one I weighed. I mentioned to my partner the fish if healthy should have weighed over 6. Yeah she was a beat up looking old gal... Lots of people were talking about catching multiple fish that looked beatup like this one. Not sure why. I caught her out of a 15 ft brush pile and there were no tournament weigh-in locations for miles so I doubt she was a recent release fish. If she had been fat, she could've easily gone in the 6 lb range. My 2 biggest ever were 6.5 lbs and they were both only 20.5" long. I think this fish was longer but I never did measure her.

Wd had one evening where wevcaught 15 or 16 Hybrids with all but a few underv17" with the largest one 27" and 7lbs. Next day it was 3-4 with none ofer a couple lbs last two outings it was nothing more than 1 big drum each trip. This timevof the year thats all I want to do. You been catching them busting shad plug or while suspended if you don't mind me asking. By the way, good job at catching some good ones, I'm sure it was a blast!! What are some water temps you been seeing

Makes my shoulders too sore with al those long cast. I really believe you can do as well or better jigging. The evening he caught the big one we had busters all around us and that one was at 28 ft and they were busting around us at the same time.. You never know what your going to find down deep. When we used to have the fantastic Blue cat population I caught several over ten under feeding white bass. I miss those days WeekendWarrior 1

Mine was caught in a brush pile 12' deep in front of a dock about 2 miles from the Alhonna weigh in site. I would assume there's a good chance the majority of fish caught this late in the year have been weighed in before. Iv'e always wondered how far they migrate from the weigh in site and the period of time involved.
fishinwrench Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 If guys were keeping and eating fish they could only displace 12 of them before being over their possession limit, but with all the tournaments now we have guys (thousands of them) that each displace 20+ bass per month. Nobody can eat that many fish without getting sick of them and wanting a change of diet. C&R was a really good thing....until we started having 20 tournaments per month on every body of water in the country. Now it's a problem that needs to be addressed. The fix is easy, we have the technology and it's not expensive. Why can't we just get to it and make the needed changes? BilletHead and Johnsfolly 2

There would be no holding up big fish and folks screaming and hollering. Can you imagine the pro bass guys using a laser pointer and shining it on a big screen saying I caught this? Weigh ins would be boring for some. Just a small group that give a halfassed round of applause out of courtesy, when the dude with the microphone tells them to. Then they all get on Facebook and say "You're a hammer"....."No YOU'RE a hammer"..... "No wait, So and So is a hammer". "Noooo, he was a hammer yesterday but TODAY you're the hammer". Ok ok.... We're all hammers. Let's be good hammers and please knock this rediculous crap off, because it's undeniably ignorant.
