All of these organizations that attack (or attempt to shine lights on) residual effects always fail to address the root cause, which is overpopulation.

Global warming, excessive runoff, depleted soil quality, poor oxygen, disease, famine, unemployment, drug abuse, mass shootings, wars, crooked politicians, auto accidents, erectile disfunction, and just about every negative element associated with life is a direct result of too many people with too much money, and too little space to live in.

If you desire to be rich, then you shouldn't be allowed to complain that your gold is heavy.

Residential damage has nothing to do with about all of these places . On rhis lake LOZ it s nothing more than roch peole wanting to show off. Abd have there fun in spite of the damage they do to others. They control the politicans in ths legislature in this state. And we all know legislatires are one of what the bible tells us are the least among men.

We have this mentality that everybody has an equal right to the resource.  Everybody has an equal right to enjoy the lake or river however they wish as long as it's legal.  But that should depend upon whether or not a given use affects the actual health of the resource.  Boat wakes damage banks.  Kayak wakes don't.  So if the banks are getting to be in poor shape, the kayaker should have more of a right to use the lake the way they wish, than the high speed boater.  Of course, the key is in figuring out how much the wakes are affecting the shoreline, and deciding how much should be tolerated.

Less easy to deal with is the conflicts between resource users.  Jet boat wakes affect canoe paddlers and kayakers a lot more than the kayakers and canoers affect the jetboaters.  Is that fair to both?  Probably not.

I think it's real easy to deal with.  The problem is that nobody (who matters) has the balls (or the desire) to do it.

There once was a rule that you always had to yield to the smaller craft, and you were responsible for your wake.  Not sure what happened to that rule, it might be a Mandella effect thing from another dimension, but I remember it vividly, and I even still follow that rule.  Hardly anyone else does though.
