If you spent 10 minutes playing with one you'd be hooked.   I'm having way more fun with this thing than I ever did with my big boy guns.

And its started.

Let's see 'em!   :)

I'll be getting at least 2 more I think.  One for the kid and another one for me that has a sweet set of irons.

Here ya go. The 5th is a duplicate of the wood stock gun.

How many grandkids do you have or expect in the future?  That is how I tend to justify my collection of knives, fishing rods, fly rods, boats, airguns, firearms, camping gear.  I started using the excuse of son inlaws this year for firearms and it seems to work well.  I never seem to pass up a good deal if I see one.

Good idea.  Currently have 2 little grand kids, but they will be big one day, and at this rate, i need to buy a much bigger gun safe.

Oh Sweet !

Yep, you're ate up with it.   I'm going to attempt to control myself, we'll see how that works out.  :D

I doubt that I'll ever get caught up in the PCP thing.  No interest in big bore stuff at the present.

my feelings also.  At this stage im good with spring guns and dont mind the break barrel stiffness. Give me a workout on top of the daily gym workout.

According to all the videos and forums a spring piston gun is hold sensitive and shouldn't be left cocked for long periods.  I have no patience for crap like that.  My Gamo gas piston gun doesn't care how it's held, you can slap the trigger if you want or have the barrel pinched against a tree trunk, it doesn't care.  POI is wherever the crosshairs are at when the pellet leaves the muzzle.

Either those guys are high on crack or I don't want anything to do with true "springer's".  I really don't want a gun that has to be gently massaged into a G-spot orgasm before it will hit where I'm aiming.   Screw that!

When I was in college we had a paintball team and we just rented a cylinder from a welding supply company. They would even come and exchange it out for us when needed. It was pretty cheap.

I watched several youtube vidoes of that stance/hold, shot roughly 100 rounds that way, went back to the way i have done large caliber guns and seen zero change in groups. My Accu actually tightened up a bit holding firm. Shoot like you know and its good. Like you said, when that pellet exits the barrel its to late to mess with where its aimed.

The only thing I have seen goofy is not holding the rifle when shooting it.  Just laying the rifle on a bag and shooting it tends to create flyers.  Its the opposite recoil of the spring unloading to compress the air that makes the rifle jump before the air hits the chamber and sends pellet flying.  I always make sure I have a tight grip on it, consistantly.

It was dead calm this evening, so here's what my ballistics look like IMG_20171128_182057172_LL~2.jpg

At 50 yards these 14.3gr. pellets failed to fully penetrate fresh 1/2" plywood so I didn't bother taking a 60 yard shot.  From 20-45 yards I'm dead on within a dime, but at 50 my best groups are a little over 3".   It's amazing what a difference 5 yards can make.  As the pellets lose velocity they start to wander quite a bit. Or so it seems.

Do you think a heavier pellet will tighten up my 50 ?    I'd really like to be able to shoot a good 50 yard group.
