I like that Hawke.  I need a new scope bad.   Soon as all this Christmas BS is over with....

I ordered pellets and another magazine for the Swarm from PA yesterday, supposed to be here on the 27th

Im familiar with the Hawke brand. They make some nice higher end stuff.  With the Hatsan being gas, im sure this scope will last. I need a 22cal so been looking at the Weihrauch HW97K Air Rifle. I should have spent a little more and got it instead of the Hatsan, but the bloggers really liked the Hatsan in 25 cal so i got it.  I went and layed some flooring for a buddy today "had to leave my tree stand bow hunting" so have a little extra cash. May order this new gun this week.  Going to sell my others except the Accu177.

The guns you're selling are all .177 aren't they?

So have you shot the .25 yet ?    I'm interested to see what kind of penetration you get on a phone book/catalog at 30 yards.

Yes they are.  All sighted in at 20 yards.

I havent shot it yet. Its leaning up against the wall as i type this. My goal is to put 100 rounds thru it before i scope it to get it settled down. Ihave some phone books and will do that test for ya. Still amazed at the size difference in pellets. Plan on seperating those bent ones out today and washing the others. Gun cleaning day also. May even tear it down to be sure i get all the crap out of it.

I made the mistake of constantly checking and tightening all the screws on my Gamo.  Once I started leaving them alone and just let them decide where they wanted to be (they aren't going to fall out or anything) then my groups got real consistent and stayed there.  It was my experience that even with loc-tite the screws will back off about 1/10-1/8 turn after shooting awhile, but then they will stay there, they don't continue to loosen.

Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you hadn't already figured it out.

I have quit watching instructional videos on YT because after the basics are learned the rest is just crap that gives you too much insignificant BS to think about.  There truly is such a thing as being too smart for your own good.

Thats one thing i have going for me. Im just not "that" smart yet.  I watch more shooting videos "long range" than anything.

I agree, the basics of shooting havent changed much in 100+ years.  The guns have, but not the shooter.

Only 38 messed up pellets in the tin, tho 3/4 of them have a blemish of some sort on the concaved side. They will straighten out going down the barrel. Hoping we get a warmer day soon so i can shoot outdoors and see what it will do. Got it all cleaned up tho. Its ready to see what it will do.

Well Poo!   I forgot that scopes for the Swarm (because of the magazine contraption) can't be over 12.6" in overall length.  Pretty hard to find a scope that I think is the absolute bomb....that is also under 13".

Don't really care for the 32mm objective but I might have to settle for this one

That one should work just fine.  I have it on my Gamo Maxxim 22 and like it.

Blow those blemished ones through for your break-in.

This is interesting...

cool video. Thanks for sharing.  I have read book articles about that gun and how they used it to take multiple deer at a time to feed their crew. Well ahead of their time with that gun on their journey.
