Oneshot, the guys have corrected you already, but watch a couple youtube videos with the moderators installed as BH suggested. Like wrench said, the thump is louder than the shot. These things are very real as far as a serious option for hunting vs a 22.

Holy smokes. Just spent 30 minutes looking at that pump site. Those guys get into it and make this “filling your own tank” way more complicated than I’m set up for.

Not going to invest in something I'm not sure I can even use.

I thought about a .410 but it is too heavy and if I use my .22 I make Head shots.

Don't get me wrong I have considered getting one but they won't let me go hunting without someone,  I need them to drive anyway.

Hey it's more my wife.  She did let me buy some more fishing stuff but it won't work.  Like she says quit trying to fix something not broken.

         This is why I wanted to suggest things for you to consider. It is not rocket science and some of these guys go to extremes to keep their compressor cool.  Heat is the killer of them and like I said the little compressors work extremely hard to build up high pressure.  The suggestion to get a tank for the rifle is valid. This will get you shooting and let someone else compress the air thus let you do some thinking on what you want.  Google up paintball ranges to see if they pump. For 5 or 10 bucks to pump up a bit tank is a deal.  I also have a Scuba tank that goes to 3000 psi and would tote it to Springfield anytime I went there to get it topped off before I got compressor. I will add tank pictures in a few minutes.

           Here are the tanks I have. The standing scuba tank is 300 PSI, The little Carbon Fiber is 4500 as is the SCBA decommissioned tank. The Scuba will not fill a higher end 250 bar gun. The little one will do one fill and the SCBA tank several fills. Just don't let your gun tank get lower than your regular pressure,

Did you just refresh those cast irons i see there? 😁

The tank is the route i will take, and dig deeper in to this game during the winter. I know a few diver guys that i hunt with. I guess any scuba tank will do? The bigger the better?
