JohnP Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Comment of the day during a hunt with old friends and new friends yesterday. Should of done better but shooting was subpar especially on my part, the whole hunting out of a layout blind takes me some getting used ;), and the birds just wanted to be somewhere else about 500 plus yds away and it's hard to compete with real birds. Still a fun hunt non the less, good to hunt with guys that will let birds work and we still managed to scratch out a few, 8 snows, 3 greenhenheads, and 3 gwt. tho1mas, Gavin, Johnsfolly and 4 others 7

Got in two hunts with my buddy that makes it down for our Goose Fest. DADAKOTA Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Great hunting with ya John. Wish they would have cooperated a little better. I totally agree with your thoughts on layout blinds. I'm usually last to the party when they say take em.

DADAKOTA Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Sunday was literally a case of being on the X. Flock after flock cycloning down into our spread. Non-stop action from small groups to 200+ trying to finish 10 yards from your feet. Quite possibly the most spectacular duck action I've been a part of. Definitely top 3. The poor sprig in one group felt the wrath of at least 4 guns. I'd of been the 5th, but he died before I could hit the trigger. BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and JohnP 3

Even after we limited out and were picking up dekes they would just keep coming. Awesome!!
Boobie Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Had a day to remember this year with pintails. they worked us all day with multiple flocks landing in the decoys. Saw no mallards, just pintails and a few gaddys. I have to agree snagged, AWESOME!!!!!!!!
