Is The lake iced up?

Wanting to head up that way and fish on Friday, does anybody have any current information?

If I gave information now, it wouldn't be current on Friday. 

Right now it's cold.  Fish are being caught.  Bunch of keepers at HA HA Tonka biting jigs.   Jerkbaits and A-rigs are getting bit elsewhere. Dam to the 25mm.

I would expect so.   Pa he tsi will be free of ice even if the PB2 cove happens to be covered.

I don't think the lake is low enough yet for it to be a huge problem, but I've been told to be careful on Pa he tsi in low water. I've heard there is some rebar that likes to eat trailer tires on the end of that ramp that can be a problem during the drawdown. I haven't confirmed this for myself, but do be careful... just in case.

 

Perhaps one of the more veteran LOTO guys knows more about it than me?

I hate putting in at pa he tsi in the winter . I had someone I know hit a rock or something at the end of the ramp with the prop.Tore the heck out of it. They probably have it chained up anyhow .

I've not seen a boat in HA HA Tonka in a week and that was just one and he had to break ice to get there. Here's a pic from this morning.
