Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 4, 2018 Root Admin Posted February 4, 2018 70 teams competed today.... not a record for RAW but close. Had 3 legal brown, one weighing a little over 6.5 pounds. Two were caught trolling. No water running today. Here's the board- Some real nice weights. Took better than 7.6 pounds (8 fish) to get into the money - 10 places. Seth, Andrew Witt and JestersHK 3
Deadstream Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 You need a new marker. Looks like the fish played along. Nice job guys.
Seth Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 We threw the kitchen sink today and caught our fish on a little bit of everything. Dad caught the 1.94 on a crawler in the last hour before weigh in. My best was a 1.5# on a jerkbait. The other weigh fish came on jigs, pink power worm under a float and onr on powerbait. The jig and jerkbaits were best early on before the wind started ripping. After that, bait and the pink power worm worked better, mainly because we were having a hard time using a jig due to the wind. We had a great time as always. One of the days I might actually beat Mr. Dietl. So far, I am 0-5! Each time we place well, he wins the darn thing. JestersHK and Johnsfolly 2
Seth Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Hopefully everybody made it back safely. It sounds like I-44 was a disaster! Some of my buddies were up fishing at LoZ and they came back through Lebanon heading east and saw a TON of wrecks.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 5, 2018 Author Root Admin Posted February 5, 2018 Those that left before 10 probably did fine. DD said his brother left at 11 am and didn't get home till 11 pm. Seth, grizwilson and Quillback 3
Members walleye4butch Posted February 6, 2018 Members Posted February 6, 2018 My son and I fished the RAW tourney on Saturday and we had a great time, unfortunately our largest fish was an 18 inch brown so we didn't fill out a good total weight. Thanks to Duanes' brother Dave for inviting us, my son ended up with a battery and nice Lews rod in the raffle. Now for the gut wrenching Sunday trip back to O'Fallon, Mo. We left Branson at 12:30 and got home at 11. Spent an hour on the hiway at St. Robert and a little over 3 hours in Rolla conditions were treacherous but we were fortunate to make it home with truck and boat in tact, prayers for the several people that ended up in the hospitals throughout the I=44 corridor numerous wrecks. Gatorjet Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Team Gatorjet Boats Fishing missed our 9th top ten finish in the past 11 years by .08 pound. Mostly on jigs. Brown/orange/orange head, Sculpin/Peach/orange head, gray/white/whote head, Pink/white, and chartreuse/white. But like Team Seth, our largest came on a live crawler 1/2 hour before weigh in. Still a great day on the water with my son! Our cabin mate is used to getting up early, and had us up by 6:30. Packed up, checked out, and the Gator on the trailer by 8:30. After a great breakfast at Grand Country Buffet we got out of Btown in time to miss the melee on I-44. Johnsfolly, Seth, JestersHK and 1 other 4 Real men go propless!
Members JohnRAW Posted February 12, 2018 Members Posted February 12, 2018 Thanks, all of you guys who came. Many of you had long and dangerous trips home, I know. Lucky that we got out early, too. Gatorjet and Seth 2
