Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 5, 2018 Root Admin Posted February 5, 2018 I looked for a list of aquariums on their site... none. They should have one. I remember quite a few freshwater tanks with Amazon fish, big alligator gars, several bass/crappie/walleye... tanks. The stream tank where you walk underneath. But I've never seen Cabela's tanks... I thought it was a good mix of everything. I did notice that they're losing some fish. Some of the tanks were getting a little thin. But I bet that's an ongoing battle.

Johnsfolly Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 I still have aquarium photos to post. I thought the whole deal was well worth the cost to get in.
oneshot Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Do they have Senior Discount? While there check out the Firearms and Archery Museums they are Free. oneshot
Fish Bork Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Yeah not sure how trained the aquarium staff is and I'm sure they were told to stock the tanks when it first opened ready or not. I think they lost their huge freshwater ray in the walkthrough tunnel along with I know a few giant crabs. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Maybe on the way to the lunker pond? With 2 kids, I’ve been there a few times though I can’t say I’ve seen all of it. Certainly saw what they pointed out ... great story on the replica cabin about uncle buck and a noodles flathead from the sac.
Fish Bork Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 They don't have a stream exhibit with minnows and darters, but some good freshwater tanks with gamefish and suckers. The most impressive tank to me is the Piranha and Neon and Cardinal Tetra tank with the live plants. I could stare at it for hours Johnsfolly 1 Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
Johnsfolly Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 A few marine tanks that I enjoyed. Of course I want to catch every fish that I see. One thing that I did not like too much was that in there large community tanks they mixed species from all over the world instead of grouping by regions. The smaller tanks did focus on fish that were from the same regions. timinmo and JestersHK 2
Johnsfolly Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 Here's a fish on my bucket list. Then there is the goliath grouper ! JestersHK 1
