tjm Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Privacy keeps MDC from using game cams on public land, I don't think they will be using drones. Maybe the need for drones will override the perceived need for privacy and laws will change. I have read that shooting down a drone is same violation as shooting down a 747 or a chopper, max of 20 years in jail.
curtisce Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 her's how to put that drone to good use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65x2jxTG5_k&list=UUBDT-Kl4nHgEvpwYfLb315w&index=11 FWD to 7:45 on the video for drone footage. PS this guy has the best video fishing videos on youtbe that I've seen. The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

It would be a blast but I'm afraid I'd crash it into the water. Mine's not as powerful as his Mavic but it was only about a third of the expense too. Dude makes good videos.
Gavin Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Pretty cool video. A buddy of mine said his guide was using one to scout for rolling tarpon in the Key's a couple weeks ago. Sent the drone ahead to look before they poled over there.

But I can guarantee you that I will send mine up at least once at the beach to see where the troughs are in a couple of weeks. Not spotting fish but spotting the places they are most likely to be. Probably no different really.
LarrySTL Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Very very cool video ! However, I think all drones should be programed to play Ride of the Valkyries if they come within some specified distance of another person. Johnsfolly, BilletHead, Deadstream and 2 others 1 4 http://intervenehere.com

I think if you fly them near water you are going to lose a few The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

I’ve seen a bunch of reports of them crashing into water but haven’t seen a single one where it couldn’t have been avoided.
