So -- anybody got a better solution?

Take a piece of 80 grit sandpaper to one of the poppers bodies and make some foam dust, mix with epoxy to make a paste.  The rest is obvious.

That does work. Also sands like concrete. You can also just fill the hole with epoxy too. No need to add all that dust to it.

Ever try Durhams Rock Hard Water Putty for those fill ins? It doesn't sand easy but it does expand a bit and sets almost as fast as plaster of Paris. I'm kinda curious about foam poppers and hard vs soft as compared to cork or wood. How tos and how goods.

Pry all those hooks back out of all those poppers. Get you some balsa. I will help you from there. Do you see any seams in the fry I put in the box?  I know, I know but you asked :) ,

You are worrying too much. The Bass won't care man they are going to eat those poppers just fine!

Man, I’ve got a job and a pretty full calendar. I’ll whittle when I retire 😄

I know, I know. I want to produce a peck of pretty poppers though.

Yeah, I think even plain epoxy sounds messy and hard to sand. Was trying to avoid that, and figure the epoxy coating will be pretty durable, so the slot filler doesn’t need to be too tough. I used spackle once and it was fine. Don’t remember it shrinking, but that’s been a few years back.

Anybody got thoughts on my weird glue drying situation?

Not familiar with Durham’s.

I haven’t used the soft foam bodies out there and probably won’t. They’re ugly.

You're gonna wish you'd never started this.  If you aren't already.

This is what you think you said or is in your mind. I won't mess correcting this statement. I think i made someone mad adjusting a post. BUT this is what you wanted to say,

Boy how I wish I had got into this swap. Sometimes I am so much of a weenie. Those are going to be some pretty sweet fly's and poppers. Wish I had some. Even one of BilletHead's crappy streamers. I could use it for a bb gun target and set it up with the dinosaurs. Can hardly wait to see the paint job that Ness is doing.

   You know I love you Wrench,

Soft foam is awesome. No gap to fill. You can paint it or use markers. And then once you coat it in epoxy it becomes a hard body.
