Members Brad N Steph Posted April 15, 2018 Members Posted April 15, 2018 I'm fairly new to this part of Missouri. I was wondering if there were any kayakers out there that could give me an ideas on places to put in that are free and that dont have a lot of boat traffic. Thank you for your suggestions. I look forward to paddling around and exploring new areas and meeting fellow fishermen.
grizwilson Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 No idea where you are located, many spots to put in, river, lake in between, trout, bass crappie. But lots of Good folks here to help, just by you posting on the Table Rock area, maybe suggest Rollie Blunts, or Bridge Port or Flat Creek Resort to get you started? abkeenan Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 I'd give Ozark Extreme Outdoors a call. They specialize in kayaks and that style of fishing. I'm sure they could give you some pointers. http://ozarksextremeoutdoors.com/ Address: 3583 US-160, Reeds Spring, MO 65737 Hours: Closed ⋅ Opens 7AM Tue Phone: (417) 272-0389 Royal Blue 1
techo Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 This is gossip as I didn't do myself but a friend likes to fish out of a kayak at Flat Creek. You can put in for free and not bad fishing off old sunken bridge and right around some bends there. Plus pretty good grub at Flat Creek when your done! dan hufferd and Quillback 2 Tim Carpenter
techo Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Just now, Smalls21 said: there are no fish in flat creek!! Ooops! Sorry. Whatever you do Brad N Steph...don't waste your time there! Aunts Creek is really poor fishing too! Tim Carpenter
Quillback Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 Quite a few neighborhood ramps in the Big M area back in the coves, if I had only a Yak to fish from, I would not hesitate to fish back in some of those coves, you will get some bass boats back in them, but it's not that bad. Viney creek for example has two little ramps with parking, no launch fee.
