Back of Piney is off limits to motor boats, if that's the one you're referring to. Not sure why.

This is right. I just looked at the maps and it clearly states it as a "wilderness area." That's the only place like it that I could find on the map.

Found this on google. Looks like the boundary line starts in front of 'wildcat hollow' but past the south piney fork.

It's been that way for many years.  Used to park my boat and walk the bank back there because I was sure there were nothing but lunkers back there.  Never caught anything decent though.

He doesn't own past the take line... why in the world would that water be off limits??!!

@Bill Babler

"He" Did not place them, the National Forest employees did. It is the Piney Wilderness, part of the National Forest System,  he happens to own property that was homesteaded so is exempt, he can operate motorized to get to and on his property.

They’ve been there since I started fishing Piney over 25 years ago.

What 11 acres? The old farmstead just up the shore from south piney? I thought the buoy were blocking wildcat hollow and the back of buck hollow. Up until they placed a gate and lock years ago, we were able to drive all the way to south piney during firearm deer season.
