And now Im bumming again

I very well may be back. I love the area.  The plan is two years there then three years home while her daughter finishes school then retire and 6 months in the US and 6 months in the winter there.  Winter temps there are 80 high, 70 overnight. I can deal with that.

Have traveled that part of the world courtesy of the USMC an the USN...You wont be single long, and congrats. If you need some expat tax help, let me know....She will need an ITIN once married. You will still need to file in the US...Probably a FinCen (Disclosure of foreign bank accounts & assets). No big deal. Do a  half dozen expat returns. We exchange docs back & forth through our secure web portal. and accept wire payments. Have Fun!

I was lucky enough to see Vietnam from the decks of the USS Mobile and USS Denver courtesy of the USMC and USN..  In 1972, when North Vietnam Army rolled across the DMZ in force with tanks and artillery.  Never set foot on Vietnamese soil.  Talk about the skin of my teeth!

Semper Fi Devil Dog! I've never set foot in Vietnam either. Did cruise past aboard the USS Ranger in 1987 or so. One of Saddam Hussein's troops shot a few scuds in our direction, but that is as hairy as it got.

A friend of mine wore out some boot leather in those jungles. He doesn't talk much about it. He tells me that he went so that someone else didn't have to.

Oh yeah, this song is about Alice.   Remember Alice?

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
