Wife and I took a trip tues evening. Started around 7pm and fished till dark. Fished a brushpile in 30'+. Ones biting were in the brush or right on top of it. 20" walleye and lost one bigger at the boat!! couple 15" crappie. Couple on jigs but rest on minnows. Thought i'd throw in a pic of the WIFES new boat !! Fun evening. Back after them tonight !!

I hope no-one recognizes the landscape around your house.   They may try fishing there.

Sounds like you might know something about my pond !!

Now I do.  🤣  There are people on this site who are claimed to be able to read a picture by the landscape and background,  and go and ruin the spot.  I'm just looking out for you.  LOL

Looks like a great haul!  We have had our best year yet on Stockton for crappie but the last 2 outings have only produced 4 keepers. I have a hard time identifying the brush piles I guess or at least the ones with fish on them. Getting spanked makes me wanna get back on em that much worse!...nice boar for the "WIFE" by the way...lol...I think my wife deserves an upgrade as well.

Was fishing standing timber past few weeks with little luck. Finally started focusing on main lake BP's. Thats where they are. As far as what ive found the BP needs to be in 25-35 fow. Shallower ones seem to only have bass and bluegill on them. Have to put up with the boat traffic (wakeboarders) only downside to the main lake fishing. I seem to attrack them !! Shiners better then toughies too.

Well maybe I'll get up in the ML next time I go though I'm not very familiar with it. I tend to stay around the highpoint/cedar ridge area mostly. Maybe put in at state park or Crabtree...

Was thinking that was my next move....thanks for the assurance on my assumptions...ML that is. The heat is driving them deep and a little tight lipped. They still have to eat though.
