MOPanfisher Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Please show the quotes where we or a least I said that. ANY species, whether native or no can become invasive and cause negative impacts depending on the circumstances.

ANY species, whether native or no can become invasive and cause negative impacts depending on the circumstances. Quote As per Executive Order 13112 an "invasive species" is defined as a species that is: 1) non-native (or alien) to the ecosystem under consideration and. 2) whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health. https://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/whatis.shtml it is my contention that common carp do not meat the criteria other than they are non-native just like many beloved game fish and animals all trout... striped bass....muskies are non-natives on the invasive list however are an economic plus and do-not cause human harm in most cases... common carp can cause increased phosphates to be suspended in the water IF certain conditions are met, a silt dominate bottom, excessive richness of nutrients in a lake, frequently due to runoff from the land man has modified, which can cause a dense growth of plant life and death of animal life from lack of oxygen. Common carp support an extensive economic industry of over $8 billion a year and can be managed as a plus in many waters and some states are doing so the grieve I get on this forum is that if that happens " it will make YOUR fav fishing suffer", which is not as likely as common carp have been in our waters for 140 years and if anything removing them seems to cost a major prey item to press like bass, walleyes and crappies. arguing that believe fish like LMB can't or rarely impact fisheries is a negative manner is semantics... normally I don't hijack threads and we are closer on many issues than it would seem, so relax there are no CT like carp regulations in our area...at least not yet 😉 MONKEYS? what monkeys?
MOPanfisher Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 You just can't stay on target. You quoted me and then posted something that had absolutely nothing to do with what I said. Also not ALL muskie are non native.

MOPanfisher Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I did not say "Missouri". Since you use information, quotes and "data" from all over the world I thought you would understand. tjm, snagged in outlet 3 and Deadstream 1 2
tjm Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Any non native specie that becomes naturalized is invasive Executive orders are just random thoughts put on paper and subject to revision when the executive sobers up or gets replaced.
Foghorn Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Fished Roaring a week ago and lots of small 3-4" rainbows and not a lot of anything else. Mrs. T wasn't happy with the lack of decent fish and we headed back to Bennett Springs. Not sure what was going on-not as many fish in rearing pools. Figure it has to do with the construction plans on the hatchery this fall.
