Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 13, 2018 Author Root Admin Posted August 13, 2018 The fish you catch in Missouri, or elsewhere, may be possessed and transported as your personal baggage, if you have the required permit. Fish may be stored, preserved or refrigerated only at your home, camp, place of lodging or in a commercial establishment. Stored fish must be labeled with your full name, address, permit number, species of fish and the date placed in storage. Fish taken in another state by methods not permitted in Missouri may not be possessed on waters of the state. dan hufferd 1

I'm pretty sure that is the understanding of alot of people around here. I have several aquantances that supply crappie for giant monthly fish frys at their Church and at VFW club functions. It's a safe assumption that they are not doing that in adherence to the wildlife code of Missouri. Numerous police and county lawmen are members of the church's though.....so they need not worry about a sting. Proof that a blind eye is turned when it benefits the proper group of folks. tjm 1

Stop and think about it Wrench. 60 crappie is a possession limit X several acquaintances = Lots of fish fro a fish fry. I know there are cheaters out there. I for one do as Phil quoted in the rules. Label, date, quaintly , species etc. There was a time I thought I needed to keep possession limit of everything I chased. Not any more. A guy unless he has a family tribe to feed can hardly eat to keep up. I was very glad when the feds gave us 3X the daily limit for waterfowl. More goose fajitas buddy . Funny though on some species you can only have so many hens in possession. So cleaned how can they tell what gender it is? How do you sex a duck breast? I bet there is a way. Members cracklebak Posted August 13, 2018 Members Posted August 13, 2018 On one of his "for sale" posts on FB a person asked him what size they were... he said mostly 1-3 pounders with a few 20-24 inches. Ugh... ruthead 1

Ugh, just the thought of a freezer full of stocker trout makes me want to hurl. I can eat trout maybe 3-4 times a year at the most. Having to eat my way through a freezer full, no thanks. The sad thing is how many of those folks with freezers full end up tossing them after they get freezer burn? snagged in outlet 3 1

There are places where the possession limit is 30 per day. i guess you are more honest then the masses. Yes like in my neighborhood like yours in the main lake 15 daily with a length limit in Truman but you fish into the river proper and it is 30 daily any length. Doesn't matter where you live in Missouri you can have 60 crappie in your freezer. BilletHead PS I see nowhere in the law where you need to label where you caught your fish. How about this 20 pounds of Spoonbill eggs from.....wherever it's legal to have Spoonbill eggs. I caught them from the bank so I can sell them, right?
fishinwrench Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I bet that church has a fish fryer bigger than our hot tub. BilletHead 1
