Members skitch Posted August 24, 2018 Author Members Posted August 24, 2018 Thanks everyone. BTW i'm not a bot. Just a guy trying to get a good deal on a jet motor so he can fix up his gigging boat to take his 8 and 10-year-old daughters and teach them how to gig. Thanks again snagged in outlet 3 and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
Greasy B Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 From what I’ve heard it’s a fine motor. You and I are probably better off buying from a reputable dealer. Good luck. fishinwrench Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 There's really no shenanigans to be pulled. If you pay with a CC and they send you a fresh new Tohatsu motor with a warranty..then you're golden.

I know nothing about boats, motors, bots or websites-but, I do know that if I deal with a local and he screws me I can kick his pants off; that's hard to do with an offshore dealer.

Pay with a CC and if they don't deliver then you can get your money back. If they deliver yet the motor has "problems" then you have Tohatsu warranty to make it right. Just go to the nearest dealer. Potential hassles? Sure. But you either pay list price or roll the dice.
Members skitch Posted August 28, 2018 Author Members Posted August 28, 2018 They will not take credit cards or paypal. They are wanting a wire transfer. Decided not to go that route. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
