5bites Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Is this a decent ramp? I’ve put in there before but it’s but over 10 years I bet.

Fishrman Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Very flat and shallow you have to back way out to float your boat. MoCarp and merc1997 Bo 2

Bill Babler Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 No problem if you have a second person to back you in. If not its to flat and you will get your tootsies wet. Big Bay ramp is good but no boat parking if you have a keel guard its perfect. If not Shell Knob bridge or H hiway at Big Little Indian Split is great. If your going to fish the Campbell to Knob, use the SK Bridge if your going to fish Campbell to Baxter the other two. magicwormman, MoCarp, Champ188 and 1 other 4 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Champ188 Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 H Hwy ramp at Baxter is the bee's knees if you're by yourself. Back your boat right down beside the courtesy dock, step off in it and you're in business. Same with loading … drive it on the trailer, step from the boat onto the dock and pull her out. No muss, no fuss.
5bites Posted September 5, 2018 Author Posted September 5, 2018 Thanks all! I couldn’t remember what it was like since it’s been years and I always use Shell Knob. I’d prefer to launch at Indian but it’s 15 more minutes for me basically since I’m coming from the north. Still worth it if I don’t run toward Campbell Point. In a nut shell my two boys and I are trying to decide on a lake to really dedicate our time to. We get to the eagle rock end a handful of times a year but the rest is grand or stockton. Anyway I’m trying to weigh my options since we’re in the middle of several lakes and they each have something special to offer. What I really wish was that I could leave my boat in the Shell Knob area to keep from hauling it every weekend. First world problems.
