Never heard of MOMO that's a new one for me.  Honestly not much bothers me out there at night.

Fog creeps me out the most, not the usual whispy stuff, but that every once in a while thick soupy fog, but I think that's more to do with not being able to see.

Mr. Schwarzenegger educated me as a young boy that "if it bleeds, we can kill it".

But hard to make something bleed when you can't see 2 feet in front of your face lol.

Stupid herons and buzzards always ruining a nice peaceful quiet evening LOL.  I've encountered all different kinds of wild life on my night time adventures down there.  This was only the 2nd time I've ever felt on edge.  First time was a couple drunks who came tearing into the parking lot at 2:30am and drove right up on us as we were just getting back to our car.

You ever have a heron squawk when it's flying right by you in the dark when wading?   Scares the crap out of me.  Then I think to myself.  If he can't see me he could skew my head.:)

I haven't had beavers bump me in the night, but have had plenty wait until just when you get close enough but don't see them before the slap their tail on the water.

Back in college, I would help another grad student on her rodent mark and recapture studies. We would set the traps the evening before and then get out just at dawn to see what we caught. Some of the traps were near a known bear wallow. So when it was foggy, you were on edge in case you bumped one of the bears. It seemed like we were targeted, because for several foggy mornings we would turn down the trail to the bear wallow and a doe would wait until we were within 10 to 15 feet of her and blow. Got us jumping every time !
