We've experienced the opposite with the bass down there.  Current makes a big difference with the bass.

We try not to catch the stinking bass 😁

its was very windy today

we had a very exciting bite on worm harnesses

until we ran outta worms

switched to crankbaits and caught a couple more

Congrats Brother Dave.

Son and I had a good afternoon Sunday putting 4 quality eyes in the livewell, shortestes being 21 inches and didnt tape the others as we knew they were over 18 ;).  Grafting fish on the flats and dropping spoons on them.  Caught several of them stickin' green fish and a couple bluegills as well.  Monday tho was another story and couldn't buy a bite.

Spent about 5 hours in the wind and rain looking for them yesterday,  managed to get one nice one in the boat not even 10 minutes in.  Dragged  crawler harnesses in 18-25 fow.  Caught a keeper and a short crappie, couple blue gills, a small channel, a yellow perch, and a few short stinking bass.  Quite the challenge in that wind.  Ran into Paco out there.   Good to see him again.  880B78EA-4CDD-43A5-AA8A-C3358C5196CB.jpeg
