bkbying89 Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I understand that there are no Caddis of that type in Missouri. Does anyone fish them anyway? Bill
Gavin Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 They do hatch here. It is a nocturnal hatch. Have had them cover our lanterns while camping on the river. A Madame X with a burnt orange chenille body can kick some butt this time of year. Size 6 and 8 on a 200R, also tie in all black, and to imitate a woodland cricket, and hoppers. laker67 1
fishinwrench Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 The lower Niangua gets a hatch of them, usually lasts about 2 weeks. They are a size 10-12. I've never seen the fish go crazy on them though.
bkbying89 Posted October 7, 2018 Author Posted October 7, 2018 Thanks for the responses. I have bought the materials needed to tie the fly but was told they weren't found in Missouri on another board. I better get tying. Bill

You won't find a pink fur bug hatching in missouri either. Deadstream, Johnsfolly, bkbying89 and 2 others 5
