rps Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 I went out from 9 to 2 today. Water temp was 69-70. The air was 50 to 60. Very little wind blew. The problem was that I could not find a pattern.I fished 5 feet to 25 feet of water and tried steep and flat areas. I caught one on a top water. None on a blade. None on a jig. 4 on a Ned. All were small. I did enjoy the total absence of "pleasure boaters." Randy Moore, big c, Quillback and 4 others 7
Members BassPastor Posted October 14, 2018 Members Posted October 14, 2018 Had a similar day to yours! One fish on a football jig in 35 ft. One fish on a Ned Rig on a gravel point in 25 ft. One fish on a Chatterbait in 15 ft. Another on a spinnerbait in 20 ft. Fished from the main lake to the back of creeks and couldn’t find them consistently anywhere. rps 1
Quillback Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Couple of cold days coming up, like seeing the water temp drop.
Members Noodle Posted October 15, 2018 Members Posted October 15, 2018 Similar results at Cape Fair. I had six, all shorts. A couple were close to keepers, but not quite. Spent most of the day in the creek with nothing. Went to main lake and caught the six on ledges sitting in 25-40 ft of water. I threw jigs, lipless crank, shallow crank, baby brush hog, grub, and ended with a worm. They all came on the worm. I did see one pleasure boat, but it was parked and had a couple divers going off it. That was fun to watch.
Sore Thumbs Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Was on Beaver Friday afternoon. Caught around 12-15 fish with Fluke and drop shot. 4 being keeper KY. The ultrex held me on my spot to catch 3 on the same drop. I love that trolling motor. vernon, Champ188, ZigJigman and 1 other 4
