TroutRinger Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Brad, this is the kind of camping I want to do. Another place to check out is Wappapelo. It has a lot of islands that may be good camping. Members Brad N Steph Posted October 30, 2018 Author Members Posted October 30, 2018 I found a spot I really like. My next question is, is this private land? It’s just off the road and I fish this area a lot and I don’t ever remember a house being in here or anything. If it is private property does anyone know who it belongs to?. Thank you

Members Brad N Steph Posted October 30, 2018 Author Members Posted October 30, 2018 That Helps, thank you very much. According to the site it owned by the US Government, and is not open to hunting so I should be safe.
tjm Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Interesting, I had thought COE only allowed camping at designated sites.
Members Brad N Steph Posted October 30, 2018 Author Members Posted October 30, 2018 I’m going to call first and ask and see if they’ll allow me to considering the circumstances. I do see where people camp all the time. I see burn piles everywhere. I just don’t want to get the public sick
Members Brad N Steph Posted October 30, 2018 Author Members Posted October 30, 2018 that's a no go. Anyone own land close to the lake that wants to make a buck and loan me a weekend in the woods?I got a few good ideas that do allow off the grid camping
MOPanfisher Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I cant imagine that unless you are about to "go nuclear" and disappear in a mushroom cloud thst you couldn't find a campsite in just about any open campground that is far enough from people to be safe.
fishinwrench Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Ok, help me understand this .... Some boneheaded doctor gave you a treatment that left you emitting harmful radiation, then sent you out into the world? Knowing full well that you'd likely have to shop for groceries, pay for fuel, and might get pulled over for speeding, running a red light, or because your license plate light wasn't working. What's wrong with this picture? And.....What about the fish and squirrels ? If I were you I'd go spend all day at the DMV. 🤣 zarraspook and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
