dan hufferd Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Does anyone care to divulge the location of a pit with walleye in it? I am kicking around the idea of buying a Kansas licence just for kayak fishing the pits. Feel free to message me. Thanks
Quillback Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Stocking records from their website. Do a search on "Kansas walleye stocking" there's several articles on it. https://ksoutdoors.com/Fishing/Fish-Stocking-Records/Walleye dan hufferd 1

MoCarp Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Brutus pit has a few ks pits are great fishing! the giant sunfish alone are worth it dan hufferd 1 MONKEYS? what monkeys?
tjm Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Found this a while back while looking for trout in Ks. "Walleye have been stocked on the Mined Land Wildlife Area in Units 7, 17, 20, 21, 22, 24, 31, 33, 34, 39, 40, 41, and 44 to provide an additional species and angling opportunity on the wildlife area. The units and strip pits that have been stocked with walleye provide adequate habitat with deeper water and cooler water temperatures. Trolling and vertical jigging techniques will be a good technique to try." https://ksoutdoors.com/Fishing/Where-to-Fish-in-Kansas/Fishing-Locations-Public-Waters/Southeast-Region/Mined-Land-Wildlife-Area map https://ksoutdoors.com/KDWPT-Info/Locations/Wildlife-Areas/Southeast/Mined-Land dan hufferd 1
CoolHandFluke Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Caught a couple in Area 41 years ago. one was at night on a black spinnerbait, and one was trolling cranks.
Members Skell9653 Posted January 18, 2019 Members Posted January 18, 2019 There are some but it seems to be more far and few between. I usually go to Stockton to intentionally "walleye fish". But you can catch some. MoCarp, Daryk Campbell Sr and dan hufferd 1 2
waterpossum Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Might check KDWP site for saugeye stocking. Kansas has a bunch of community lakes that are great crappie fishing and from time to time some get a saugeye stocking. I have been fortunate to catch a few exceptionally nice ones when the water is flowing hard.
waterpossum Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Beginning last January 1 2018 the license is good for 365 from the date of purchase.
