Quillback Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 New RC, I guess you could call this the finesse version. Weighs 5/16 oz, 2" long. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Spro_Mike_McClelland_Rk_Crawler_50_Crankbait/descpage-SPRK50.html big c and snagged in outlet 3 2
Ham Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 I love the RK 55, but I have no initial interest in the 50 size. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

If it’s under 6’ I’d rather grind the bottom with a wart. New or original. Bill durability thing and algae cleaning puts the wart ahead here for me At 7’ or more, spro wins.

RK's drive me nuts with how often they get hung up
Ham Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 I much prefer the RK55 to a wart, but I see no need for the 50 size Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

At least in my experience

At least in my experience I absolutely agree. I’m trying to get that 8-11 foot depth with a slow steady wobble. I think you guys are often grinding shallower stuff on TR. Royal Blue Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 I'd rather throw the 6th Sense Curve 55 every now and then too. I really like them and the Scatter Rap deep. Much different look than what is getting thrown all of the time around here.
Quillback Posted January 12, 2019 Author Posted January 12, 2019 Never have thrown the deep Scatter Rap, how deep will it go?
Royal Blue Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 On 10lb Sunline it runs 10-12. It has a lot of action and last spring I crushed them on the Scatter Rap Deep in Ike's Mule when the guy fishing with me couldn't get a bite on the RK Crawler. It made me a believer that sometimes that having a slightly different crank than everyone else makes a huge difference sometimes. Quillback 1
