Members Jamie Posted March 29, 2019 Members Posted March 29, 2019 Put in at 10 bridge Wednesday morning about 7:15 there were already a dozen rigs there. We were fishing above the first shoal/gravel bar up to the corner. We ended up keeping 123 fish and stopped about 12:30 to head home. Caught most on sliders, pearl with chartreuse tail and john deere green. When we left the parking lot FULL! There were rigs parked all the way to the highway. Had a blast take care all!!! Good luck. Bill Butts Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 When i read that you kept 123, i was assuming White Bass and wondered what happened to the longstanding limit of 20 per angler on that fishery. So, before i replied i looked it up. Apparently, this is either the first or second year that the 20 White Bass limit in all Grand Lake tributaries was changed to the statewide "No Limit, except where otherwise specified". Anglers do need to understand the statewide limit for Hybrid Stripers is 20 with no more than 5 being 20" or longer. Does anyone read the regulations differently? ollie Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Yes, . Crazy I thought the same. Generous limits on the lake for many different species. Jamie, were the gravel bars covered from the last rain above the bridge? I caught some from there the other day. wily Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 They lifted limit last year or two in spring river...I think it’s silly to keep that many...unless you’re trying to feed an orphanage or something. i know there are a lot of whites in grand lake...we catch them all year long...but I don’t know why anyone would want to keep that many. i guess just so they can say they did it...but they paid their money and bought a license so they can do what they want...in my mind all they’ll have is a lot of freezer burned white bass...yahoo BilletHead, ollie, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4
fishinwrench Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Agreed. I feed a family of four with as many Whites as anyone should desire eating, plus throw a big blowout fish fry/beer bust every year.....and never exceed my possession limit of 30 Whites. I guess if you only chase Whites one or two days per year then it works out ok. But I think I'd rather do just about anything except cleaning 100+ Whites in one evening. What a chore! BilletHead 1

Judge much? Did I say how many of us were in the boat? Is it any of your business why we were keeping that many? I just gave a quick report and get a BS reply. Don't worry yourself about freezer burned fish they will be long gone before that happens....don't want you to lose sleep over it. Talk about A$$clown comments.
