Does anyone know if the crappie and white bass are biting up there. Going out in the morning to try to find some. If so how deep are they, also what is the water temp at right now? Thank you for the advise. If you see a young guy in his mid 20s in a 1980 bass tracker put there tomorrow on beaver creek that would be me. Dont be afraid to say hi

Grandpa always used to say if the red buds were blooming the crappie were biting.  and if the dog woods were in bloom the whites were running. Since both trees are in full bloom now you picked a great time to Fish!

That's  all I know since  I haven't fished for either yet 😂

I have heard that saying. A buddy of mine at work said when he was bow fishing last weekend at kisse mills the whites and walleye were up there stacked. Went to  bull twice this year so far and both times I have come backed skunked

Seems like its been a few years since i heard of a great white bass run up Beaver.  Used to you would hear things on here or i would have buddies callling me telling me they are going good, but lately its just been quiet.   5 years ago you had to take a number to get into Beaver. Boats everywhere, people all over the bank with full stringers.

Same deal up at Theodosia. It's been a while since I've seen any whites cleaned in numbers. 24/7 can tell you better, but the whites seem to be really down in numbers all over the lake. Wonder why?

I fished Beaver Creek  area from the early '70's till mid '90's. Put my boat in a rented stall from mid Feb. til mid April. The whites went from limits to lucky to catch two. Gave up & went to Sac on Stockton - left the boat in the shop.

Don't know what happened to them.

Not enough  water way up the creek this year is my guess.  The last few floods have really silted in the river up there. I went and checked below  Haskins and could walk across it and barely get my ankles and shins wet.  Further down looked OK but those whites love the shoals, and they would have to have their body out of the water to get to them right now. Last year was decent with the high water but I just couldn't  seem to time it right.  "Shoulda been here yesterday ", that was my problem. Even at night I couldn't  get there at the right time.  Id say a guy could catch some above the bridge somewhere trolling shad rap and hot n tots that's always been my favorite way to catch them.
