First year back in a pine forest. The pollen has been like a fog when we are driving. Haven't seen it this bad since the last time I lived on east coast. We can all pick up allergies as we age. Fortunately not sensitive to this pine pollen...yet. Used to have a sensitivity to spruce pollen when I left PA. Even thought about not getting fresh cut Xmas trees. But that passed probably due to not being exposed every year. Good luck to you allergic types in MO.

Got into a swarm of biting flies today at Lake Wappapello, nasty sobs.  Earlobe is swelled up twice normal size, lumps on neck, face, and arms.  Only a 20 mph wind would keep them off of me.  Fishless day.  Could only stand it about 30 minutes.  Ended up going for a boat ride.

Well heck, ya called my bluff. Maybe we compromise—Fed Ex me your phone and put a Post-It in there with your password and credit card info and I’ll turn your notifications off and send it back. Is this and iPhone or Android? Aunt Carol’s was Android but I managed to get her so she can play the only two games she felt she really needs. Can’t guarantee you’ll get important weather alerts when I’m done with it though. Gotta choose I guess. 

And, I’d love to meet up with you and fly fish. Honest. Life is cuh-razy for the foreseeable future though.

Awe it's ok, I'll live with it awhile longer.  If you text me though, and I don't respond for awhile, I probably thought the "ding" was just another pollen alert.
