Members Fatbass hunter Posted April 22, 2019 Members Posted April 22, 2019 Is there any largemouth on the beds yet, just got back from Theodosia at bullshoals. Lots of beds but no fish on the beds, lots of small mouth and k's caught off the beds at night but not many largemouth. Wondering if it's the same at the Rock.
Ron Burgundy Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 A friend fished Eagle Rock area Saturday and saw several fish on beds......caught a 4lb black and said saw lots that size on beds. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Royal Blue Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I saw a big female on a bed last wednesday, but there was very little size caught among the people that I talked too. Saw lots of empty beds. It should happen any time I'd say.
Sprint21fter Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 They were pulling up on the beds from 2 pm til dark all last week. I bet they are all over the beds now.

Biglerma Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Had 3 LM on beds under our dock, which we are on main lake past shell knob bridge there. One was a nice fish about 3 lbs I would say.
Members LukeD Posted April 23, 2019 Members Posted April 23, 2019 saw quite a few males on beds late Sat afternoon (4/20/19) but no big females. water was in the 61* range. I would say if the warmer nights stay they will move up. Sunday morning we went out for a few hours befor heading home and same beds we saw sat afternoon had nothing on them Sunday morning because of the cool night time temps I would say.
Champ188 Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Why bother them on beds? There are lots of other ways to catch them right now. Best to let them spawn in peace, especially since MDC can't see fit to supplementally stock the No. 1 sportfish in the lake. dtrs5kprs, bobby b., big c and 8 others 11
