Any of Y'all ever try jigger polling.  I recently purchased a Ray Scott Jigger Pole, should be fun from my square stern Grumman.

Yes! Used a buzzbait on a length of 40# power pro, used it to drag it around weeds at night, was a blast! caught bass from 3 to 5 pounds no other way to have fished it, the weeds had pockets behind them rock bottom with a couple feet of water that they didn’t grow (see pic of weeds) bass had moved in at night .to chase anything they could catch, was fun battling the fish short 10 inch length of line, the flex of the pole  jaws great at absorbing the fight.

Looks like that technique would work great on snakeheads in the thick stuff here in Maryland :).

Old time Ozark fishermen used to jiggerpole.  Take a big 5 hook Dowagiac lure with props front and back, put it on a long pole, and float down the river just dragging and figure-eighting the thing around every rock and log you come to.  It was apparently pretty effective.
