Weather looked good, managed to sneak out of work at 330 and my buddy asked me to hit his little honey hole again. Can't say no to that offer.

Turned it mostly into fly rod practice for my buddy who's heading to CO with me in September.  He has bought 2 fly rods already but hadn't caught a fish on either so we took him along and showed him some top water sunfish action.  A good evening of learning and it wasn't long before his casts started getting better and spent quality time mending line and getting fish to hand.  Have to get him on some trout for the next steps.

I fly fished and also brought a spinning rod.  I started out throwing a big single bladed black and yellow spinner bait and my 3rd cast got crushed.  Again the bass here are angry and hit with a vengeance.

Fishing was a bit slower this time and the big sunfish were not active but we caught a ton of smaller ones.

Before we called it a day I threw a weedless rigged worm into the same corner and it got hammered too.  One was just over 5lb and the other was 4.88.  caught a few smaller bass too on the fly rods stripping a BH clouser again.  Those things are like crack to the bass and panfish.  I haven't cracked the 6lb mark here but I feel it's just a matter of time.  A special little pond it is.
