magicwormman Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 My neighbor called me this morning and told me about a fish kill on the James. I informed him that I was taking my Granddaughter and a friend tubing today and I would check it out. We tubed between Cape Fair Marina and point 13 and saw about 20 crappie and a few catfish floating as well. Has anyone else seen this on different parts of the lake? snagged in outlet 3 and Sore Thumbs 1 1
Rodmaker Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I fished yesterday from aunts creek up to campers point and saw dozens of white bass and 1 very large paddle fish floating. dan hufferd 1
willyfish Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 With the hot weather and high water temps I would think it would be oxygen depletion related as the cause. Nothing out of the ordinary with high heat. Although it has happened in the past I think the words "fish kill" are used sometimes a little loosely. Just my 2 cents don't want to start arguments Daryk Campbell Sr, Champ188, Wart 57 and 1 other 4
