Sure worth a whirl for $750. It does look to be a good motor - very clean except where it shouldn't be.

gotmuddy Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Those are great engines, IMO one of the best made for longevity. You can replace the whole ignition system for less than a Hundo. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

I would have liked to have this motor but really it would not be good for the boat I am trying to buy(why cant people answer the phone??). That boat needs a 9.9/15hp short shaft, all the rocker built into it would take too much usefulness away from the jet. However I have the very first outboard I ever owned, a 1992 evinrude 15hp that would be perfect.
