dan hufferd Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 1st time in a kayak for him, I would add that he has grown up on the creek, and in the woods. I will probably get a thrashing for the lack of a life vest but that's ok. He is a natural in the yak. BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3, nomolites and 4 others 7
Johnsfolly Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Looks like good water Dan and a nice day to get out with your grandson. Did you catch a bunch?

No, but this area has a lot pressure on it. It is close to a ramp, wide and slow, perfect for a new kayaker. He had fun, and that was the goal. Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr and tjm 3
ollie Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Buzz and I floated shoal last week and did decent. Any where around the ramps on shoal is always deplete of fish! lol If he is a decent swimmer then I don't see a reason for the jacket where you were. I don't think it gets very deep at all where you put in. I could be wrong though. dan hufferd 1 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
