Slow but fun start to Season

Spent most of last night in the marsh to be able to get the spot we wanted. Tons of people, lots of shooting, a good number of birds, public land hunting.

i did have a good time with my son and a friend. We killed a couple of Pintail drakes and 7 teal. Also got checked by the GW on way out.

A decent started to the season for us.

Good for you! Blanked on my first hunt last Sunday...Coulda killed 4 limits of coots, but ducks not flying. Gonna try again Wednesday...Hope this front doesnt move them all out.

Me and a buddy almost tried the poor line at 4rivers Saturday but kinda chickened-out.  Plus the wind...I figured it would be crazy busy.  Is that where you went?  I assume zone 3?

I went fishing.  Not much better, but slept in later.....
