MOsmallies Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Only saw 7 or 8 boats all weekend! I’m not a hunter so I typically spend the opening weekend of MO rifle season on the water. Water temps were 50-52 all weekend. Saturday morning the old 2-stroke was being stubborn so I just trolled to a nearby dock on a secondary point (10-14 feet of water) and dock shot a limit of Crappie with a few real thick ones in the 12” range. All released to swim another day. That afternoon I was able to get the big motor started and ran around chasing the bass. Didn’t catch many but the size was good! Spinnerbait and Buzzbait did the work... One more good one around noon on Sunday (Spinnerbait) before heading home... snagged in outlet 3, Gavin, Bushbeater and 6 others 9
Gavin Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Good for you! It’s been a couple years, but I’ve always enjoyed uncrowded fishing during deer season. MOsmallies 1
Mitch f Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Hey Paul, I remember another opening day of deer season on the Osage!😂 I’m sure you remember! MOsmallies 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Bushbeater Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Here on the Niangua it's like a private lake. I've only seen a couple boats in the last week. Water temp yesterday around 44 but the catching is good for both bass and crappie. My 5 best bass would have went arourd 15# in 3 hours fishing. Sunday we had a crappie dinner with the evening catch. That ol'GT has never been to visit me. 😥 Not even once. Probably suffering from the hands of that lawn mower cobbler in the next cove over. 😂 MOsmallies and slothman 1 1

My father-in law has always had Gary over at Sports World Boat Center work on his boat. If it was up to me I'd tow it down to you for sure. Some day 😉 Once it warmed up a little and I got her started she ran great!
