I missed 4 browns caught six rainbows then moved up to dam to harass Buzz. Watched him catch a rainbow or two then went up to the spillway. I caught 3 browns and a nice rainbow up there. Started the day throwing a mini sex dungeon then switched to the ole stand by olive wooly bugger and even caught one on a stone fly nymph. Nice day

Congrats on a decent day of trout on Capp's! Any size on the brown's?

The browns were typical of the stocking size, between 8 and 10 inches. The rainbows were a little better with a couple up to 14 inches. They all loved my wooly bugger.

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Buzz you caught 9 bows lol don't be modest 😂

I did catch one more on a zebra midge just after you got down there, but I didn't count it because Ollie called it at 11:30.

same on the browns two were stocker sized and one was about thirteen inches. Thought it was bigger at first it really took off then it just gave up.

Yea, by that time I had already conceded the day to you Buzz! lol I didn't think either of us would catch you at that point. Just goes to show you that two guys standing there basically throwing the same thing and only one catches the fish. I wasn't holding my mouth right or something!

Sounds like you guys had another good time this year.

One of these times I'm gonna get down there for this and meet you all. I've been to Capps many times for very short fishing stops -- always on the way down to Roaring River where the family had get-togethers for around 10-12 years ending about 5-6 years ago. But, I've never really fished it hard, and always right by the mill.

Ness, come on down and give either Buzz or I a shout. We can get you started in the right spots.
