50 teams weighed in more than 7 pounds - 8 trout.  Very impressive.

Nobody fished the trophy area.  All below Fall Creek.  A lot of the biggest trout came below Monkey Island.

Some great pics taken by Nathan, one of our staff.

We caught some really nice fish Friday, but couldn’t seem to find them Saturday. Lots of fish were boated, but most were 3/4 pound stockers. We weighed three fish a bit over a pound and everything else was 15oz on my scale. Dad drug his minnows and worms all day like usual and never did get that kicker bite like he usually does.

We had a great time like always and you couldn’t ask for a nicer day to be on the water. We’ll be ready to do it again in a few weeks when the Elfrink rolls around.

We fished artificials all day and caught a bunch of fish but like Seth just could not get a kicker fish. Fished from Fall creek to Roark creek with fish from one end to the other. Will be back for the Elfrink tournament to try again with high hopes as always just hope the weather is as nice and the fish are biting as well. P.S. Good luck guys and gals but hope we win this time.

I really enjoyed the pictures that Nathan took I knew a few of the teams and it was neat to see everyone fishing.  I was planning to fish again this year but had a death in our family and didn't come down.  That didn't stop my son and nephew they used my boat and took 1st, very proud of them and happy to see they got the bites they needed.  That duo is good but they have lost the last 2 years to my brother and I at the Lazy Valley tourney in March, we owe a lot of success to Phil and a class he gave at Queeny Park probably close to 30 years ago.  I look forward to next years tourney and the fellowship that goes on before during and after the weigh in.

We were parked next to them on the dock below the Lazy Valley condos. I bumped in to them Friday evening on the dock as I was preparing to go catch a few sculpins for Saturday and we chit chatted a bit. Saturday morning, the walk way was really slick and one of them helped me out with getting dad down to the dock safely.

If my schedule permits, I'd like to make it down and fish that Lazy Valley tournament. I've seen the pictures on their Facebook page and you all tend to bring in some nice browns every year.

Do hope you make it down for the March tourney it is fun and a good bunch of people.  Usually wild horses couldn't keep me away but my youngest daughter is getting married and of all the weekends to pick for wedding which one do you she picked?  That being said we won't be there on the 7th, but I hope you go down for it. Glad they helped you down the ramp that does sound like them. Good luck and hope to meet you on the water sometime.
