oneshot Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 My Doctor prescribed an Antibiotic for me. All of a sudden I was hurting all over couldn’t get out of Bed or off the Stool. I told my wife I thought it was the Antibiotic interacting with my Blood Thinners. My wife said no I asked the Doctor and the Pharmacy would have said something. That I was probably coming down with something. So I looked it up on Line and couple times it came up not to take it with Blood Thinners. So I quit taking it. Been 12 hours we shall see. Because I’m on Blood Thinners I can’t take anything for pain but Opioids which mess me up enough. oneshot
fishinwrench Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 You doctor going people will never learn. Got a broken bone?....go to the doctor. Got a severe laceration?......doctor. Got a fish bone or piece of wire stuck in your throat?..... doctor. Feel bad and don't know why?...... A doctor isn't going to know either, and odds are you'll get over it on your own before any doctor can figure it out. If your condition is deadly then you're likely to die regardless. IMO you stand a better chance of surviving if you spare yourself all those trips to the hospital and all the poking, prodding, testing, and trial chemicals. Basically, as long as you still feel like eating and playing on the internet.... you're gonna make it. Stop stressing and just rest.

That just popped into my head when I was trying to think of good reasons to go to a doctor. Happpened to a friend's kid after eating a grilled hamburger. Piece of stainless wire from a grill brush.

Blood Thinners because of Blood Clots. They tried taking me off and had more Blood Clots. Got down with Arthritis just before I was to go on Fishing Trip to Florida. They put me on Antibiotics because they had a Drain Tube in me but pulled it before I started Radiation. Oh they are trying to get my Arm working. Don’t think I will. oneshot

Probably 80% of people who you find at doctor's offices and at hospitals more than once every few years are hypochondriacs or have Munchausen syndrome. Doctors have learned that if they tell the patient that there isn't anything abnormal going on with their body then the person will likely just keep going to different doctors until they find one that will diagnose them with SOMETHING and attempt to treat it. People don't worry about their dogs health until they notice the dog isn't eating, has had no appetite for days, or is puking or pooping blood excessively.....THEN they become concerned and take the dog to the vet. They should use the same mindset on themselves and stop clogging up the waiting rooms. Trial and error diet and exercise is where you find acceptable health....not at the pharmacy. A buddy of mine has severe migraines and PTSD, he is on a plethora of meds, but if he would quit drinking 12-14 beers every day and start cooking instead of eating take out food I bet he wouldn't need any of the prescriptions he's on. Not that the prescribed meds are even helping.... because they aren't.
Flysmallie Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 If I would have taken the best dog that ever lived to the vet for her regular checkups she would still be here today. MOPanfisher and BilletHead 2
Flysmallie Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 But I will add that my mom had surgery to fix a problem that she had all her life and it almost killed her. And truthfully with the quality of life she has now it would have been a better option. fishinwrench 1
oneshot Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 One time I was operated on the Doctor stayed with me 14 hours because I kept trying to die. Im supposed to do exercises but I’m going to wait until this is mostly out of my system. One time I was given a Prescription, Doctor took it from me trowed it away saying it would kill me. oneshot
