Well I will say this. This place sucks.

Had our rooms all screwed up. Food at restaurant was just okay. Tub/Shower leaked real bad when you showered-flooded floor, Kitchen had 4 forks and knifes, 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon, can-opener that did not work, coffee pot took over 30 minutes to make coffee, BBQ pits all screwed up. Got up Saturday and Sunday morning water all over bathroom floor from leaking sink. Tub/Shower spout when you pulled up on it moved about 3 inches. Had no local news and like 6 bad tv stations. Beds in 112, need new mattress also. Had hair on one of the guys pillows, from someone else's stay.

This place is way over priced and 25 buck for a slip to boot.

Just letting everyone know talked to several other folks staying there, and they had similar complaints.

Did you talk to the owners Brett and Melanie before posting online?

Yes, I’ll agree that TV sucked, I missed having local TV news, and I’ll give you that most hotels these days have a lot more channels. I get most of my entertainment and news these days online though, and if it’s a trade off between better TV and free WiFi, I’ll take the WiFi all day every day.

I was happy with my room, room 101, last week, and I’m not sure what you are eating at Cookie’s, but myself, father in law, and my two boys all had really good food, including some exceptional catfish on special.

I’m sorry your group had a bad stay, but I hope you at least gave the owners a chance to address your concerns.

I think without the flooding and the hair on the pillow the food might have gotten a better rating....Just sayin

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. Personally I’m a fan of talking with the folks before trashing them on the internet.

These were the cabins/cottages not the hotel rooms and over 140 per night.

Nobody around there. And if they cared, it would not have been like this in the first place.

We owned a hospitality some years ago and we cared and we always checked our units.

I had a long response typed, and deleted it. Bottom line, you think TMR "sucks", and I  think it meets my expectations just fine for a place to stay and eat. I can't fix any of your issues, and you didn't talk to the only people who could before bashing their business on a widely read public forum. I'm not gonna use up anymore of Phil's bandwidth to drag this out farther. I hope you at least enjoyed your time on the water and caught some fish.
