      First thing I noticed though is your neighbors are too close :) .

I blame that on my Current and Most Favorite Wife.... This was not my choice of Homestead Locations.. It was close to her moms!!! I miss my Farm out in the middle of nowhere... One of my previous wives got the Old Farmhouse :beaten:

Lay down some weed block under them when you add the dirt, it will help in the future.

What I have found on raised beds, the deeper the soil the better.  Just guessing from the pics, 1x6 cedar?
